ALGEBRA 1 & 2
Note: Students who need only a "non-math majors" math credit (like liberal arts math) in college, may want to consider taking the CLEP College Mathematics exam instead of the College Algebra test.
For students planning to earn their degrees from one of the "Big Three" schools (see more HERE), www.ALEKS.com offers college-level mathematics courses that can be used to meet math and general education requirements. The cost is approximately $20 per month, with discounts for paying in full for 6 or 12 month terms. A student who completes an ALEKS math course in three months or less will save considerable money when compared to the cost of a CLEP exam.

Print the algebra description and sample questions file for your study journal, making notes following the outline where appropriate. Choose one of the algebra textbooks as your main source. Work through the book, using the lectures/lessons found at the HippoCampus or SAS algebra 1 websites to help you understand each concept. Visit the Prentice Hall site for video lessons, and practice quizzes. In addition, print the worksheets found at the Kuta software site to reinforce your learning. The other sources are provided for further studying, if needed. (If, for instance, you find you are struggling with one textbook, try the other to see if it better suits your learning style.) Finish the course with the practice tests and the final End-of-Course exams.
